Recreational ladies league. Wednesday 9:30 a.m.
Welcome to the Early Bird Ladies League. We are a fun social league of ladies who love to curl and meet new people.
Our league curls on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am, hence, Early Birds! For the season we play 20 games starting the 1st Wednesday after Thanksgiving and wrap-up around the 2nd Wednesday in March with a break at Christmas. There are 2 banquets in the season: Christmas and Year End.
Our league doesn’t have teams that enter but individuals. The skip and third will stay together with the seconds and leads changing teams every season. A great way to meet new people. We place individuals in comfort positions and work towards having balanced skilled teams each season.
If you are new to curling, we will help train you and work with you throughout the season as we welcome all lady curlers. The Thistle curling club also offers an adult learn to curl program with a Nationally certified instructor.Join us for fun and exercise!
We would love to hear from you. Please contact Bob thistlecc@shaw.ca or Nancy Hilker @ 780-493-1434
